Right to Read Book Club In-Person

Someone doesn't want you to read this book.

Book challenges and censorship are on the rise across the country. Join Bemis Public Library for a new book club celebrating the freedom to read, and engage in thoughtful, respectful conversations about difficult topics, censorship, and why libraries fight to protect the right to read freely.

In April, the book club will discuss poetry and poets that have been challenged. Participants are invited to read A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein, or ask a librarian for other poems and poets that have faced censorship.
