Book challenges and censorship are on the rise across the country. Join Bemis Public Library for a new book club celebrating the freedom to read, and engage in thoughtful, respectful conversations about difficult topics, censorship, and why libraries fight to protect the right to read freely.
In October, participants will discuss books that have been challenged for being scary. Read Kindred by Octavia Butler, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz, or ask a librarian for other suggestions.
